THE MUMMY 3: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR (2008)

The third film of the Mummy trilogy to star Brendan as Rick O'Connell
was released in the United States in the summer of 2008 (August 1st). Instead of the previous two film's Egyptian setting, this installment took place in China with a new "mummy" a brutal warlord (Jet Li),
Emperor Qin Shi Huang who is cursed by Zi Yuan, a sorceress (Michelle Yeoh) for his evil deeds.
In present day, 1940's England, Rick and Evelyn O'Connell, now  played by Maria Bello,
are living in (semi) happy retirement in a palatial mansion. Evy has become the author of adventure novels and Rick spends his days fishing, (or trying to).
Asked by the British government to deliver a priceless artifact to China, the O'Connells (secretly bored with their present life) jump at the chance of new adventure and travel to China where they are reunited with son Alex,
now grown up and working with his Archeology professor to find the tomb of the titular Dragon Emperor. They also find Evy's brother Jonathan (John Hannah
running an Egyptian themed nightclub called Imhotep's.

Filming took place in China and Montreal under the direction of Rob Cohen (Dragon:The Bruce Lee Story). Screenplay by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar
(Smallville).

The supporting cast includes
RUSSELL WONG as Ming Guo
ISABELLA LEONG as Lin

and LIAM CUNNINGHAM as Maguire

Rachel Weisz chose not to return as Evy because having recently given birth to her first child, she took issue with playing the mother of a grown son in his twenties. When Rachel's agent informed director Rob Cohen, he replied "Fine", and hung up.
Director Stephen Sommers chose not to direct the film, but stayed on as one of the producers.

Who is that ??? (Could it be the infamous TheChamCham ??? )🤨🤫

  1. It was during the filming of this movie that I saw Brendan in person. As luck would have it, we had to travel to Montreal from Seattle for our green card interviews. We were sitting in the US consulate waiting for our interview, and as soon as he walked off the elevator, I knew it was him. I have been a fan since School Ties, I recognized that swagger, I couldn't see his face. Of course my heart was racing, he walked towards us, and sat down behind us. I wished my husband wasn't sitting beside me. Lol! Brendan kept his head down, I really felt he didn't want to be disturbed, so I didn't approach him. I pray one day our paths will cross again.
